Vision

VISION of Christ Baptist Church

Based upon our biblical purpose and principles, as a congregation of believers in Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit, our vision is to recruit, equip, and empower an army of believers to invade the Kingdom of Satan in order to set the captives free (physically, mentally, spirtually, morally, racially, economically, and totally) so that people of every nation, language, culture and ethnic group can, and will enter the Kingdom of God in order to glorify Him, edify His Church, and advance His Kingdom.

Christ Baptist Church PURPOSE

The purpose of this congregation is to seek, find, and do the will of God by seeking the guidance and empowerment of His Holy Spirit for doing our part in fulfilling the mission of Jesus Christ to His Church. In order to fulfill this purpose, we dedicate ourselves to reading, studying and following God's Word, to constant prayer for guidance and empowerment, to worshipping and praising God, to making disciples for Jesus Christ, and to being His servants in the service and liberation of mankind. We seek to continue to grow to full Christian maturity.

Christ Baptist Church PRINCIPLES

  1. The Bible (especially the New Testament) will be our primary guide for faith and practice, and the Pastor will be our primary interpreter of the Scriptures.

  2. The Pastor shall lead the Congregation in prayerfully seeking the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit for fulfilling our biblical purpose, principles, and vision.

  3. The Government of this Congregation is vested in the body of believers who compose it, and, as such, it is subject to the control of no other ecclesiastical organization.  Also, none of its boards, committees, councils, or church staff can usurp its congregational authority.  Upon recommendation by the Pastor and Trustees, the Congregation will approve an annual budget.  Finance may only be disbursed as approved in the annual budget or by the approval of the Congregation.

  4. The Congregation confirms the Pastor, the Deacons (laymen, laywomen) who shall be responsible for the management of the spiritual affairs, and the Trustees (laymen, laywomen) responsible for the management of the financial affairs of the church both subject to the authority of the Congregation of this church.  In accordance with the Articles of Incorporation, the Pastor, Deacons and Trustees shall be and act, in all respect as the Board of Directors.  Whenever, in these Principles of Procedure (“Constitutional By-Laws”) or elsewhere, the term “deacon/trustee” appears, it shall be deemed to mean “Board of Directors” and whenever the term “Board of Directors” appears, it shall mean “deacon/trustee”.  The Pastor shall be the Moderator of the Board of Directors.

  5. The Board of Directors shall have the authority of the Congregation to make legal and ecclesiastical decisions on behalf of the Congregation

  6. Matters that are necessary to be brought to the whole Congregation will usually be decided by consensus by the Board of Directors after prayerful deliberation.

  7. We shall support the work of the Lord through this church and His worldwide mission through tithes and offerings.  Every member of this Congregation will work to improve the total community and will endeavor (by the aid of THE HOLY SPIRIT) to win (lead) one person to Christ each year. We will be advocates for peace and social justice.  We will share our Pastor in the preaching and teaching of the gospel, and in helping to make disciples throughout the world.
